Kawaphone

The kawaphone is a record instrument in the field of percussion developed in modern times. Due to the lasered-in lamellas, the sound plates receive a spectral sound rich in overtones. The plates have three different registers. If the plates are struck on the side where they have no lamellae, the plates sound more defined in the fundamental frequency and have an easily audible basic tone. If you strike the middle of the plate, the lamellas resonate a little and you hear both the fundamental tone of the plate and the spectrum of the lamellas. If you hit the side where the lamellas are lasered in, you can hardly hear the basic tone, but the spectral sound produced by the oscillation of the lamellas is very strong.
