Course description
Music emerges from collaboration. The course "One Team. One Sound. One Work." focuses on collaborative creative work and demonstrates how individual ideas can evolve into a shared musical expression. The starting point is the LUNASON instrumentarium. Participants become familiar with selected instruments and their sonic possibilities, and begin to experiment with different timbres, rhythms, resonances, and musical impulses. The aim is not to play pre-existing music, but to develop something original together. Throughout the course, ideas are contributed, incorporated, modified, and developed further. Participants experience the importance of listening, responding, trust, and clear musical communication for a shared creative process. Different roles emerge, shift, and complement each other—each individual voice contributes to the overall sound. Step by step, the group develops its own work from the discovered sounds and musical ideas. Decisions regarding structure, dynamics, timbre, and progression are made collaboratively and immediately tested musically. In this way, the creative process itself becomes an integral part of the experience. "One Team. One Sound. One Work." combines musical creativity with collaboration and shows how a unified whole can emerge from many different impulses. The result is a work that could only have been created through the interplay of this group.
