Metasonic Resonators
The Metasonic Resonators expand the world of LUNASON with a new form of sound generation and sound projection.
Differently shaped metal resonators are set into vibration by exciters, thus becoming the sounding body themselves. The focus is not on a loudspeaker, but on the material itself: its shape, surface, natural resonances, and specific overtone spectrum all contribute to the resulting sound.
In this way, electronic sound transmission combines with the properties of an acoustically resonating body. The sound is not only reproduced, but shaped, colored, and spatially radiated by the material.
Metasonic Resonators exist in various shapes and sizes – from resonance chambers and projection-like bodies to freely vibrating metal surfaces. Each resonator possesses its own unique sonic identity.
They can be used individually, as a spatial ensemble or in combination with instruments, voices and electronic sounds, opening up new possibilities for composition, performance and sound design.

NAOS
Space · Expansion · Reverberation
The Metasonic Resonator NAOS is characterized by an exceptionally long after-effect and a strong spatial presence. A single impulse can persist in the resonator for over 30 seconds, continuously unfolding its effects.
Its special quality lies in the creation of a large, resonant space. Even in very dry acoustics, it creates the impression of a wide-open reverberation – almost like a cathedral in the room.
NAOS can carry sounds far beyond their original impulse and open them up spatially. This creates a unique acoustic environment that sonically expands the real space.
TRIGON
Focus · Presence · Diffusion
The Metasonic Resonator TRIGON belongs to the family of Resonance Chambers and has its own unique sound characteristics due to its three resonating surfaces and its triangular shape.
Its sound is somewhat more refined and focused than that of NAOS. The resonance is less extended and decays for a shorter time, yet remains present and spacious.
The strategically placed openings allow the sound to escape from the inside to the outside, giving its radiation a special softness and roundness.
TRIGON thus combines resonance and directness in a subtle way – finer, somewhat more immediate and at the same time soft in its sonic projection.
