At the heart of the course is the instrumentation developed by LUNASON, which expands upon traditional concepts of instrument making and sound design. Participants experience a soundscape characterized by metallic resonators, newly developed string and percussion instruments, and innovative resonator systems. Metasonic Sound is not an effect or electronic sound processing. It arises solely from acoustic vibrations, resonance, and the deliberate shaping of material, form, and sound projection. During the course, participants learn the fundamentals of this soundscape, experience the instruments up close, and have the opportunity to experiment with the instruments and sounds themselves. Together, they explore new sonic spaces, initiate improvisational processes, and develop their own musical ideas.
